My desire for fitness and moving my body has developed in parallel for me throughout most of my life.
During my time at college, I joined the Shotokan Karate Club. It quickly became my religion. I soon took up running, moving quickly into a love of mountain running. Finding liberation whilst running up and launching myself down mountains with a bunch of muddied, half crazy and well-seasoned devotees was also terrifying.
Somewhere between all that (water) skiing came to the forefront. The exhilaration of it all became a conditioning, balance and tenacity exercise. Biking and time in the pool followed suit.
Pilates practise became a much needed physical re-balancing shadowing my form during training and contributing to my performance.
